I started in radio in 1995 as a High School Co-op student at 1470 C-HOW Welland, ON. Following my time in Welland I was hired on full time at CHNR Hits 160 in Simcoe, ON. I was hired in preparation for CHNR’s switch to FM – CD 106.7. I worked in Simcoe for nearly 3 years.
When I left Simcoe it was to move into the world of television. I worked as a producer / writer / host and editor on 3 different TV shows for World Class Communications. My weekly show The CCM Video Countdown was broadcast across Canada on CTS & The Miracle Channel. It was carried across the United Stations on Family Net and Dominion Sky Angel.
While working for WCC I was also hosted a show at Joy 1250 in Oakville, ON. During this time I started doing voice work. I did commercials for Radio, TV, and Promotional Videos.
I left TV & Radio briefly to work for CMC Distribution in Niagara On The Lake, ON. While at CMC it wasn’t long before I ended up back in TV again in the form of the YourMusicZone Top 10 Countdown. YMZ was broadcast across Canada on Vision TV.
Following my time at CMC I went back to radio at KAOS 99.5 in Peterborough Ontario. There I filled the role of Program Director and Morning Show Host. I was in Peterborough from 2005-2007.
Now I’m back in Southern Ontario and celebrating 15 years in broadcasting. I’m currently working for FM 92, an 80,000 watt station in Brantford, Ontario.
When I’m not on the air doing a shift, I am probably doing one of four things… a) fighting a fire (Volunteer Firefighter for 11 years), b) actively pursuing my career as a voice talent, c) taking pictures for fun or d) just relaxing.
